Wonderfully entertaining and informative chat with Lewis Goodall. I am as most people might be here, a news junkie, but I am tired of the same old swill from Donald. NY Times does a report every 30 mins on Donald actually makes me feel ill.
My question to you is the new book about Biden by Tapper et.al. Biden’s legacy will probably become his physical and mental challenges during his tenure, instead of what he or someone in his court accomplished. Biden has been so intent on his legacy. What do you think will occur? So many people I know will not acknowledge that we were lied to by his family and his team. They want it to go away, so many people knew, I knew. What is your take? Would love to see you interview Jake Tapper.
I listen to (almost) no podcasts, and much prefer to take my info in through the written word (sometimes read transcripts), but I listened to your 52minute News Agents interview, even though it was interrupted every 3 or 4 minutes by ads, because it was worth it, for the analysis, the clarity, and actually the entertainment value. Thank you.
I listened to Vanity Fair Diaries and the question I most want someone to ask you is how you developed your Diary habit and maybe how it has evolved. Clearly, you have brilliant recall, but does your diary contain remembered conversations in script form? (Can't wait for the The New Yorker Diaries BTW.)
I am in the early months of publishing of a multi-contributor publication on Substack, and often try to channel your thinking. I play with AI and prompt, "imagine your were Tina Brown, what would you do with these ideas?" Quite fun. Even AI recognizes your genius.
I’m quite glad I became a subscriber to Fresh Hell because it immerses me in your hilarious and sophisticated take on things. I need some fun in my reading in these bleak days in America so thank you, Tina Brown!
As a very grateful subscriber I want to cheer on your work here. I get access to your amazingly brilliant mind plus all the others you mention too. I’d never be able to curate that on my own. So Substack is one of the most valuable resources for me.
My goodness, Tina. What a wonderful start to my morning. I’m glad I found this before I got out of bed. Now I’m fired up to write and edit my usual Sunday Substack to help shed some light on the darkness here in the States. TTFN
When you mention "news agents" I think of the trips I used to make to the U.K., where such places had racks and racks of magazines, including the ones about music and politics the British do so well. Paradise.
Speaking of mentions, I quoted you in my new Substack--I agree that Donald Trump is not going to like losing attention to someone who's a bigger celebrity than he is.

Excellent interview. Thank you for always seeing and saying, so very clearly, all there is to see and say, Stay with us! We need your voice.
